How to pick the right upsell app — a 5-check list

Run any app you're thinking about through these five checks. They're the same ones we use when we review an app for the directory.

The no-double-dipping rule

If your cart drawer already shows an upsell, don't show the same product on the product page too. The shopper sees it twice, ignores it, and your install slows your store for nothing.

  • Does it fill a moment you haven't filled yet? Skip the bundle app if your weak spot is no cart drawer. Match app to moment.
