Are these Shopify tools free?
Yes — every tool here is completely free with no sign-up, no email and no limits. They are built for Shopify store owners doing competitor research, pricing and budgeting, and they run instantly in your browser.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Nothing to install and no Shopify app to add. Open a tool, enter your details, and get the result on the page. The calculators run entirely in your browser, so your numbers never leave your device.
How accurate is the Shopify app cost calculator?
It uses each app’s lowest paid tier from its live Shopify App Store listing — the same figures shown on our app review pages — and flags which apps have a genuine free plan and which bill by usage. It is an honest starting estimate; real bills vary with usage tiers, add-ons and annual discounts.
What fees does the profit margin calculator include?
It includes your product cost, shipping you absorb, other per-order costs, and a transaction fee defaulted to Shopify Payments’ common 2.9% + $0.30 (which you can change). It does not include your monthly Shopify plan or app subscriptions, since those are fixed costs rather than per-order costs.
Can the store owner tell I used the theme detector on their store?
No. The theme detector reads only the public homepage HTML that any visitor’s browser already downloads — the same as viewing the page source. It does not log in or access anything private, so there is nothing for the store owner to see.
